What should I bring to my first session?

Comfortable gym clothing, trainers, and water. If you have your own gloves and wraps, feel free to bring them, but we can provide equipment for beginners.

Do I need boxing experience to join?
​
No experience needed at all. We welcome complete beginners through to experienced boxers. Our coaches tailor sessions to suit all abilities, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.​

Am I too old to start boxing?

​

Not at all. Boxing is for everyone. We have members of all ages, and sessions are adapted to suit different fitness levels, goals, and physical needs.

Do I need to be fit before starting?
​
No – that’s what we’re here for. Many of our members join to improve their fitness. We’ll help you build strength, conditioning, and confidence at your own pace.

Do you offer competitive boxing?
​
Yes. We are affiliated with England Boxing and offer an amateur boxing pathway for those who wish to compete. This includes technical training, sparring, and guidance through the competition process. Competition is optional – not a requirement.

What classes do you offer?

We offer boxing fitness classes, technical boxing sessions, sparring/contact classes, personal training, small group training, strength & conditioning classes, and yoga.

Do you offer personal training?
Yes. We offer 1-to-1 and small group personal training for boxing, strength & conditioning, and general fitness. Our coaches work with beginners through to competitive and professional boxers.

Can I just use the gym for strength training?
​
No. Stroud Boxing Club is a class-based gym. All training takes place in classes or personal training sessions.
​
What age can my child start training with you?
​
Children can start training at 8 years old.
